Dominic Licavoli believes in living the fitness lifestyle and enjoys sharing wellness with others through various strength and conditioning as well as nutritional coaching programs. Nutrition is the core of good fitness, whether you are trying to recover from hard workouts, maintain weight, lose weight or improve endurance.
When you combine good nutrition with well-designed exercise programs you will reap the rewards of a healthy lifestyle. And, Dominic is representative of what he believes. He has used good nutrition and supplementation along with weight training most of his life to prepare himself for athletic competition. The results have been tremendous.
Dominic was a standout football player at Upland High School, earning multiple All League and All American honors. As a college athlete, Dominic continued his success in football, was selected to the All Mission Conference Team and once again named an All American. Upon leaving college Dominic pursued a career in law enforcement and began competitive power lifting. Dominic remained unbeaten for five years in a row while winning gold medals for the next 4 years at the California State Police Olympics. Dominic was also a Gold Medalist at the 1985 and 1987 World Police and Fire Games where he competed against athletes from all over the world. He still holds state and world records in powerlifting for the Police and Fire Games. This Year at age 56 Dominic stepped back onto the platform and won the USPA National Bench Press Competition for his age group and set a new California State record. What make this so amazing is that Dominic’s only training for this event was Power Yoga.
At age 55, Dominic, Always the competitor, became a Masters Swimmer. In 2010 he won Four Medals in Swimming at the US Police and Fire Games (1 Gold, 1 Silver, 2 Bronze).
Dominic is innovative when it comes to new ideas for training and nutritional routines. He enjoys sharing his vast experience and expertise with others and educating them on the value of a good nutritional plan. Dominic offers custom designed nutritional programs and offers coaching and support to help clients reach their personal goals.
Dominic has coached Football at the youth through college levels as well as designed strength, conditioning and nutritional programs for athletes of all ages. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration with a specialty in Human Resource Management. Dominic is a Certified Fitness Trainer as a Specialist in Fitness Nutrition with the International Sports Sciences Association. Dominic also received a Yoga Instructor Certification through Yoga Fit and working towards completing his RYT 200.
